Each creature has 5 dice according to their size. Small has d4’s, medium d6’s, large d8, huge d12, gargantuan d20.
To see who goes first, put 5 dice in your hand, then flip them up and catch as many as you can on the back of your hand. The sum of the numbers on the back of your hand is your score. You may reroll a number of d6’s equal to your dexterity modifier. High score gets to go first.
You lay your dice out, pick up one, and toss it into the air. You have to pick up a number of dice equal to the figure you’re in, and then catch the die before it hits the table. If you finish the figure, you move on to the next figure. If you fail, the turn passes. You may have a number of retrys over the course of the whole game equal to your dexterity modifier (double that if you have dice proficiency or have advantage for some reason.)
